Do people really love that much aerial combat? ( if this FMV trailer is any indication that is )

I enjoyed Sands of Time's combat, all though it was over the top it was fun.. but if he's going to doing 3-5 flips in mid air and then grab on to someone else in mid flight and flip some more before hitting the bad guy, I think i might not be able to get over how stupid it is.
