I've taken days off when the weather is just beautiful and it would be a shame to spend it in an office -- I've even had a Ferris Bueller type of situation happen one time when me and a couple of friends called each other's bosses to fake family emergencies and get us all out, only to have a near run-in with the president of the company at lunch...

...but I don't think I'd take a day off just to play a video game :-\
