I just dont get airline prices in the US (AA in particular)
To fly from san diego to birmingham is from $180
To fly from miami to birmingham is $225
To fly from san diego to miami is from $223 (289 if you want to arrive at a decent time)

Luckily i checked the direct flight to birmingham, gonna save me heaps of money.
