This is very interesting. So far the sheer number of games available for competition has been a problem. So many games to choose from is difficult for competition organizers as well as competitors. Finally competitors can concentrate on a single game and event organizers will get a game that meets tournament requirements.

Also I really don't care whether it will turn out like Q or CS, but inevitably when it's finally out a lot of people are going be "severity suxx0rsss" because it's more like Q and they wanted CS (or the other way around). For all I care the player models could be red and blue boxes as long as its balanced and interesting.

Hopefully something will come out of this most people can accept and hopefully people will learn to deal with the fact Severity will not be 100% like their current game of choice.
