I've always been a Raven fan myself. Doom 1 - 3 never did anything for me. Heretic and Hexen, on the other hand...

I am someone who agrees that id makes great engines, but lack the ability to make great games (Although the original Quake was awesome).

Unfortunately, I don't think Q4 will be a day one buy for me, if ever. It looks pretty meh to me.
