Notes from the Author
First, let me address the subject of Rival Nations (RN). I am certain many people will notice similarities in RN and Warcraft III Generals (W3G). My intention was never to ripoff anyone. All of the content in W3G is 100% original, made by me. What similarities are there, were unavoidable. My efforts were to make W3G as different as possible, while maintaining a level of gameplay that people would be familiar with. It takes an experienced map maker to recognize the planning and effort that goes into a map of this scale. I applaud MicrosoftXP for his very well done map, RN, which I still play on a regular basis. I'm in no way trying to steal popularity away from RN. My intentions are merely to provide a map that is similar in concept, yet offers some new and different gameplay elements. Please keep in mind that RN has been around for some time now, and wasn't always as fun and in depth as it is today. As I'm sure MicrosoftXP will tell you, its a process. Sometime in the near future, I hope that W3G can, if it does not already, reach a level that meets everyone's expectations of what a truly good custom game should be.
