This is a playable Demo of MechWarrior 2 by Activision.
System Requirements
486DX66 computer with 8MB RAM
45MB available drive space
SoundBlaster-compatible sound card
DOS 5.0 or later; Windows95
By running MECH2DEM.EXE, you are extracting three files. Once these files have been extracted, simply type INSTALL followed by the letter of the drive where you want the demo installed (ex. INSTALL C:). This creates a directory called MW2DEMO on that drive and puts the demo there. You need around 18 MB of free disk space to install the demo. However, the demo will occupy only 12.5 MB of space on your drive after installation.
To play the demo, just follow the instructions from within the Installation program, or move to the \MW2DEMO directory and type SETUP to configure your setup and play the game. (Once you're in, press F1 to see a diagram of Cockpit Controls to get up and running, or read the included MW2INFO.TXT file for a complete description).
