Frag.Ops v2.2

Author: Pandora Studios

Version 2.2 of the Frag.Ops mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. Windows, Linux, Mac versions.

[v2.20 update]

Added:
* Added bVideoMode setting to Interface_MainHUD for video recording, disables kill messages and end round stats
* All vehicles can now be used in Mission maps by placing Mission_VehicleSpawner actors in your map. The vehicles will respawn
at the beginning of each round. The rotation and location of the vehicle when it is spawned in is dependant on the rotation and location
of the Mission_VehicleSpawner.
* Added some new objective features which allow dual-team objective setups, an example of this can be seen on Initiative
* Added some divider lines to the scoreboard to make it easier to differentiate players from each other
* Added drop shadows to all the HUD fonts to make them stand out better, maybe improve HUD BG graphics
* Added a 0.33 second delay before you're able to fire after zooming with the TRG and DSR sniper rifles
* Added screen shake to Super90 shotgun shots
* Added Ekto's new FO intro map
* Added a whole set of new HUD scopes by Ekto (including a custom M4 one)
* Added full support for widescreen in all interfaces
* Made TRG42 headshots randomly cause headbursts (30% chance)
* Readded akimbo Combat Knives
* Readded melee decapitations

Changed:
* Major optimization to all net code:
- removed CriticalReplicationInfo actor, moved properties to PlayerReplicationInfo for reduction of net bandwidth usage
- got rid of old 2k3 ammo actor-based style, switched from ammo actors to new custom replicated ammo struct packets
-- above changes could result in a maximum reduction of actors per player by 14, creating a major improvement in network efficiency...
this is very significant, because with a 16 player game you could see a total net reduction of 224 active actors at once, with the majority
of them networked. Every UT actor takes up some CPU time, networked actors even more (plus consuming network bandwidth),
and this would make games with large player counts run much faster without seeing common packet loss/latency problems resulting from
saturated network output.
* WAR gametype has been removed
* Comanche (helicopter) rockets are no longer dumbfire, they'll track the nearest vehicle but with a very low tracking accuracy
* The distance you fall before you take damage has been increased
* It's now possible to hijack jeeps driven by players from the other team, it's also possible to hijack the gunner spot on the stryker,
but no other vehicles or seats can be hijacked
* Dropped weapon pickups now last until the end of the round instead of 60 seconds
* Returned Red Label shotgun fire values (dmg, range, dmg falloff) to those previously used in FO 1.39c
* Increased Combat Knife damage by 25%
* Added slightly higher throw speed to dropped weapon pickups
* Changed Combat Knife screen positioning and added custom akimbo positioning
* Made it so knife lunges don't decapitate players
* Made UMP fire slightly slower (4% slower) and with 8% more recoil... laser/silenced bonuses still apply, but are now based on the new UMP
settings
* Changed MP5/XM8 nightvision to red tint instead of green
* Made it so turning the nightvision on with the MP5 does not also enable the flashlight when unscoping, and vice versa for the flashlight
* Improved weapon pickups, switched to stripped down versions for improved performance and physics
* Base movement speed increased by 10% (now back to 1.39c level)
* Bots are now aware of grenades/napalm and will avoid them
* Bot refire rate on pistols is higher/more natural
* Decreased overall bot accuracy so they're actually beatable at any difficulty level
* Bots will now burst-fire more often instead of spray with high-recoil automatic weapons
* Bots can now purchase all weapons, including sniper rifles, shotguns, and higher level pistols.. previously, they would only purchase automatic
primary weapons and always use a USP
* Bots may sometimes now decide to use melee against you under certain conditions (low ammo in current weapon and short distance from player)
* Bots now use lasers sometimes, and will turn on taclights (if purchased) in low-light areas
* Removed POW trait
* Convict trait no longer has a speed bonus, but rest time goes from -5% to -10%
* Sprinter trait now correctly sets speed bonus to +5% (code was doing +6%), recoil penalty has gone from +20% to +30%, and armor
penalty has gone from -9% to -10%
* Rambo trait armor penalty has changed from -15% to -20%, and speed bonus has changed from +5% to +6%
* Outcast trait now has a -7% speed penalty instead of -5%
* Ninja trait now has -30% footstep volume instead of -20% and +20% melee damage instead of +15%
* Hacker trait now completes objectives 50% faster instead of 30%, but has -15% armor instead of -10%
* Grunt trait now has -15% recoil instead of -13%
* Assassin trait no longer has a speed bonus, footstep volume is -20% instead of -25%, but recoil penalty has been reduced from +25% to +20%
* Ex-Cop trait now gets -15% recoil and +15% damage with pistols (instead of -7% and +7%) and +20% footstep volume instead of +30%, but -15%
speed instead of -10%
* "MAX" button in buy menu now repairs armor, if applicable
* When spectating in first person, the view rotation of the player you're spectating is much more accurate now
* In games with humans and bots, the round now ends when the last human dies (who likes spectating bots anyway?)

Fixed:
* Linux/Mac server browser crash fixed
* Fixed occasional mismatches between total hits taken and individual body part hits in personal player stats (stats you can see at
the end of the round by opening the console)
* Fully loaded UMP now properly says "Loaded" instead of "Sil+Laser"
* Fixed a karma crash when shooting grenade pickups
* The default inis now take into account the installation of bonus packs and remove them from the ServerPackages list when building the
initial FragOps.ini
* Fixed knocked-off helmets not being destroyed at the end of each round
* Fixed the "Random" button in the team select menu randomly (hehe) dropping you back to the main menu
* Fixed karma crash bug related to knocked-off helmets
* Fixed helmets getting "stuck" to bodies after decapitations
* Fixed AP stopwatch hand having different transparency values on different teams and added slight drop shadow to make it more visible
* Fixed the loss of shotgun/sniper rifle screen shake when switching to 2k4.. this makes these guns "feel" as powerful as they did in 2k3
* Fixed weapon pickups giving more clips/ammo than they should
* The round will now properly end if you die and are the only player in the game
