Shack Team

Editorial Staff

Chris Faylor
Chris Faylor brings with him a well-rounded, supple body of industry experience from such online publications as GameDaily and Gaming Age. He focuses on news, previews, and event coverage, as well as rendering complex and robust electronic devices useless with his mere touch.

Nick Breckon
Originally plucked green and eager from the thriving, fertile masses of the Shack community, Nick Breckon quickly acclimated himself to the rough-and-tumble world of video game journalism. He regularly handles news and interviews as well as all grumpy feature content.

Alice O'Connor
Another Shacknews community convert, Alice hails from the mysterious land of England. When she's not having tea with the Queen and backing up secret agents, she's establishing herself as the only game journalist that writes with an accent.

Founders

Steve Gibson
Shacknews founder and majority sellout Steve Gibson somehow managed to keep this whole thing operational and independent for over a decade. Originally the sole voice of the Shack, Steve now sits at the top of his vast Shack empire pile of money, managing its business affairs and thumbing through large rolls of bills while stopping in on the front page on a daily basis trying to market Gearbox Software's World War II games.

Maarten Goldstein
Maarten Goldstein joined the Shack as its second full time employee and first resident Dutchman in 1999, becoming a part owner in 2002. He is responsible for maintaining FileShack, contributing programming when needed, and keeping editorial egos in check.
