1:04: Back to Tretton to finish up.

12:59: Tretton: "Oops, Phil, didn't you forget one thing?" Harrison: "Ladies and gentlemen, everything you are about to see is real-time." Killzone 2. Real-time version of original pre-rendered Killzone 2 trailer, doesn't look as good as that obviously but looks really, really good.

12:57: Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for PS3 from Polyphony. Looks pretty great.

12:55: New PS3 game from Sucker Punch called InFamous.

12:44: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction from Insomniac. Video with footage and dev commentary. Devs note that level of detail is only possible on PS3. More videos of LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, NBA.

12:32: Metal Gear Solid 4 confirmed exclusive to PS3. Kojima is onstage. Calls it finale for series. "The story for Snake will end, and also, for me as a game creator, this will be my last involvement in the series." All plotlines and mysteries will resolve. Stealth still, but in a battlefield. Kojima putting 20 years of experience into MGS4. Showing new real-time footage from PS3. Looks pretty much awesome of course. At the end of the trailer, more crazy Raiden shit.

12:26: Even Rocky had a montage: Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil 5, Burnout Paradise, Madden NFL 08, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Simpsons Game, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Medal of Honor Airborne, Rock Band.

12:23: Unreal Tournament 3 time. Game is a timed exclusive on PS3 this year. New trailer. As expected, it looks totally insane. SCEA has signed multi-stage deal with Midway and Epic, to optimize UE3 for PS3. Affects existing UE3 games in development.

12:21: Haze trailer. Game will be a PS3 timed exclusive this holiday. "That looks great," says Tretton.

12:19: "NCsoft will be joining the PlayStation camp." NCsoft will be creating exclusive PlayStation Network games. "Only the PlayStation Network can support the kind of gameplay NCsoft has become famous for."

12:17: Tretton is back. Sony expects new PS3 pricing to bring over existing PS2 owners. Hooray for Blu-ray, Lair is 25GB. Blockbuster is going with Blu-ray over HD-DVD, will help Blu-ray and PS3.

12:11: Back to Home again. Has live blogging and other integrated community features. Want to provide a space for gamers to meet, talk about games, and play games. Will have ability to launch games from Home. Harrison goes from his Home lobby to a Motorstorm game with 11 people.

12:10: SingStar: "iTunes meets MySpace." Can upload pictures etc. to share with friends.

12:05: Back to Home. "Ultimate 3D experience is only on PS3," but certain elements are extending to other mobile platforms. Took a picture on a Sony Ericsson phone to bring into Home. Showing world of Home. Has Singstar game running on his virtual TV in Home.

12:02: Trailer for Wipeout HD, new game coming to PSN in 1080p. Trailer for already-announced Jackass-like PSN game Pain. Trailer for Warhawk. Trailer for SOCOM Confrontation, coming to PSN and retail.

11:59: PSN game: Echo Chrome. 3D line art Escher-like puzzle game where you navigate a guy around crazy geometric rooms. Violin quartet music.

11:57: Phil Harrison of Worldwide Studios comes to stage to talk about PSN. PSN allows for games as impressive as full retail titles, or games that are more creative and bizarre.

11:55: PlayStation Network time. Over 2 million units registered to PlayStation Network so far, with 20 million total downloads.

11:53: Chewbacca comes to stage to show Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment pack. Chewie makes Wookie noises. "That's right Chewie, just for PSP," says Tretton. Will sell in October for $199.99. White PSP, promoting Rebellion's Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, exclusive to PSP.

11:51: Tretton back on stage. "There really is no place like Home. There's nothing like being able to look at your nose magnified 50 times in 1080p." New PSP will come in piano black and ice silver in North America. Offered in PSP Entertainment Pack with silver PSP, game Daxter, and 1GB memory stick, and UMD collection and Family Guy Frickin' Sweet collection--package for $199.99. Launching in September.

11:47: Kaz comes to stage to show off new PSP revision. Same screen, same UMD drive, looks quite similar, but 33% lighter than current PSP and 19% slimmer, with better battery. Can output video with cable to Bravia TV, including games and video and photos.

11:46: Back to Home. "Hopefully a few of those hot chicks from the plaza will come join me. Hey Kaz, what the heck are you doing here? Ready for some Riiiidge Racer?" Kaz comes into Tretton's house to grill burgers.

11:39: 90% PSP sales increase since price adjustment and introduction of "Dude, get your own" ad campaign. UMD movie sales up as well. Montage: SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike, Wipeout Pulse, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, NBA 08, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Silent Hill: Origins, Patalpon, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, Sonic Rivals 2, The Sims 2 Castaway, SWAT: Target Liberty, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lion, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles.

11:37: Starting with PS2, most popular console ever with 118 million installed worldwide. More stuff coming, more to be sold this year, but moving on to PSP for this conference.

11:35: "We're going to show you games, games, and more games." Also mentioned price cut from earlier this week. Almost 50 games across PS2, PSP, and PS3 to be included in today's press conference. Many will be playable at E3.

11:31: Starting now. Video montage with PSPs arranged in geometric shapes. Jack Tretton 3D model in PS3 Home on screen. Shows new Home Square outdoor area, incorporating feedback from beta users. "Morning ladies, looking good!" he says awkwardly to three dancing female avatars. Now he comes to stage in real life.
