Remember the Titans! Age of Mythology Expansion Pack Available This Fall
Microsoft Game Studios and Ensemble Studios today announced that the Age of Mythology: The Titans expansion pack will be available in stores this fall. Gamers will soon be able to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, controlling the power of Titan gods such as Atlas and Cronus in the new expansion.
Age of Mythology: The Titans adds a fourth culture, the Atlanteans, to the existing Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythologies. A new single-player campaign will add yet another chapter to the franchise's expansive folklore with the addition of 12 new scenarios. Atlantean players will be able to call upon the might of the Titan gods multiple times throughout the game, and may also upgrade human units to heroes. The expansion pack will introduce 12 new god powers, 18 new human units and 10 formidable myth units to the game. Age of Mythology: The Titans may also be played with others online using the in-game matchmaking service, ES Online (http://www.eso.com).
Age of Mythology: The Titans is an expansion pack for Age of Mythology. Using familiar elements of classical mythology, Age of Mythology casts players as one of nine unique civilizations from ancient Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythologies. Players can reinforce their armies with mythological creatures like Cyclopes and Medusas or call upon the mighty powers of gods such as Zeus to rain down lightning bolts on unsuspecting enemies. Age of Mythology also incorporates Ensemble Studios' trademark features from previous Age of Empires games, including a compelling economic model, a massive army and battle system, unequaled artificial intelligence, random maps, intuitive gameplay and extreme attention to detail.
Age of Mythology's 3-D engine delivers impressive graphics in a fully 3-D environment, including beautiful waves and water, lifelike rolling terrain, realistic sunlight, and lush forests. In-game cinematics create a seamless, story-based and character-driven campaign which features 35 scenarios. In addition, the game features incredible special effects, including waterspouts, infernos, snowstorms, tornadoes and earthquakes. Age of Mythology is available for an estimated retail price of $54.95 (U.S.) and is rated Teen.
