Hey, everyone! It's been a roller coaster of a day here at the site. So let's take a quick recap of what you might have missed.
We started the week off by saying goodbye to Andrew Yoon. This was a very difficult piece to write and I'm hoping it's the last one of these that I'll have to write for a very long time.
Club Nintendo is going away, but they're going out with a bang.
Sony Online Entertainment was SOLD... which is amazing, because I didn't even know it was on the market. (Chances are, neither did anyone else there, either.)
And I wrote about the perils of Nintendo not being ready to meet the Amiibo demand.
Hoping for a great week this week. I know the week's starting on a high note when there's a thread about singing sharks. Have a great day, everyone! Let's end this with a quick look at this week's new releases.
No problem, I thought. When I bought the 2nd 360 (my first failed in June 06, 7 months from launch), I bought the warranty at EB (who was just bought from Gamestop).
So, I gather my warranty receipt, pack up my 360 and head to Gamestop. No month long delay for me, sending it back to Microsoft. I will just swap it out.
Pwned. When I get to Gamestop the clerk tells me it was only a 1 year warranty and isn't good anymore. He further tells me "Yeah, this sucks. When we were EB, we had 3 year warranties. When Gamestop bought us, they dropped it to 1 year." Thanks Gamestop.
So, I bought an Elite, cause damned if I'll be without a 360 for a month, and I'll send this one in, get it reparied and sell it.
