Prey Update Coming to Fix Crashes That May Corrupt Saves

Apparently the Day 1 patch didn't make the game perfect after all.

Prey had a Day 1 patch when it launched on May 5 that fixed a ton of issues, likely making it so almost all players would never see them when they first started the game. Unfortunately some crashes have been reported that could be corrupting saves, and Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios will be pushing out an update to Steam soon to address that for PC users.

"This week, we’re looking to release a Steam Beta Update that should fix the crashes some of you are experiencing that may or may not have corrupted your saves," Bethesda support said in a forum post. "Included in this are a few other fixes we will share when we release the patch notes along with the beta when it is live."

Once the beta is "good to go" and officially launched on Steam, it will then be pushed to console users.

I've had a love-hate relationship with Prey so far, and my dogs hate it when I play it. Luckily, I haven't had any crashes or game breaking issues so far. Hopefully the patch will make it so I don't experience any at all.
