A Biblical figure with a whip and a fiery temper takes on the Seven Deadly Sins.

Update:

The game has now been officially announced, confirming the earlier details and including a debut trailer.

Original Story:

Darksiders 3 appears to have been leaked, showcasing a brand new Horseman (or rather, Horsewoman) of the Apocalypse.

The details come from online retailer Amazon (via Eurogamer). This time you'll be playing as the "unpredictable and enigmatic" Fury, a whip-wielding woman with fiery red hair. She sets out on a quest to defeat the Seven Deadly Sins–presumably these are actual embodiments of concepts like Lust, Greed, and Envy.

Gunfire Games, the studio formed by the original Darksiders developer after THQ went bankrupt, is developing this entry. Nordic picked up the rights and will be publishing. It as a placeholder release date of December 31, 2018, which means it's probably not targeting release this year.

In the Darksiders universe, the four Horsemen are War, Death, Fury, and Strife. We already played as War and Death in the first two games, respectively, so this just leaves Strife as the last one.

This is all leaked, but coming from a retailer complete with details and screenshots gives it a lot of legitimacy. We expect an official announcement soon, but in the meantime, you can check out the leaked screens and artwork below.

Looking forward to this. The first game was awesome. The second was good, but dragged on.

OMG! YES! This is amazing news, I love Darksiders 1 and 2.

If anyone has never played the first ones you totally have to check them out, they have been remastered as well and own.

I have been wishing for this to happen for years now, its so cool its real and most of the old team from Vigil Games is working on it too.

      Awesome.

Yup, I'm hoping it's more like DS1 than DS2 but either way I'm excited to see it come around again.
