Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is expected to be released next week, revising the MOBA's free-to-play structure and allowing players to get everything for free through earned in-game currency. To get people into the game, Blizzard has announced four Mega Hero Bundles, each with 20 heroes, and players can get one for free just by logging in after the update launches.

Each Mega Bundle has its own theme. You can get 20 assassins that are experts in taking down foes quickly, 20 tanks that can soak up damage, 20 utility and support characters that can heal or provide other services on the battlefield, or a "flex" pack that pulls from the three different groups. Each Bundle will cost 100 gems, the in-game currency, but Blizzard is giving you enough to unlock one pack right away once you log in.

To make sure you choose wisely, they offer a quick four-question survey on the web site to define how you play. Based on the answers, the proper pack will be suggested for you.

Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is expected to launch on April 25, and the offer is good only until May 22.

Blizzard will host a livestream of the launch event on its official Twitch channel beginning at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET on April 25. Producer Kaeo Milker offered some insights into the shift in focus of the update, and is worth reading as a new player or a grizzled veteran of the Nexus from 1.0.
