We found a lurker at this year's Game Developer Choice Awards at GDC 2017! Shacker blender81 has been posting on our Chatty forum for over 15 years and actually secured his first job in the games industry by replying to a thread on the Chatty, We caught up with him on the back of winning the IGF Seamus McNally Grand Prize and Best Design Awards at the Game Developers Choice Awards for his game Quadrilateral Cowboy. Asif Khan is the CEO, EIC, and majority shareholder of Shacknews. He began his career in video game journalism as a freelancer in 2001 for Tendobox.com. Asif is a CPA and was formerly an investment adviser representative. After much success in his own personal investments, he retired from his day job in financial services and is currently focused on new private investments. His favorite PC game of all time is Duke Nukem 3D, and he is an unapologetic fan of most things Nintendo. Asif first frequented the Shack when it was sCary's Shugashack to find all things Quake. When he is not immersed in investments or gaming he is a purveyor of fine electronic music. Asif also has an irrational love of Cleveland sports.

        idtech 4 is really great. Built rock solid, easy to read code.

        And with its lighting model, kinda comes with its own unique visual style you don't see much nowadays

      This is one of those games I keep meaning to get around to playing but never do for some reason.

        Seems really cool- I've played all the other games but this one looks like too much thinking.
