Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has had fans excited for the character's return. The good news is they won't have to wait too much longer., as the remaster is finally coming to PlayStation 4 on June 30.

The game, which is compilation of Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped, is being updated for the current gen, but with some changes and upgrades. "We’re building it using the original level geometry so that it plays as close to the original as possible," game director Dan Tanguay said in answer to a fan's question. "We’ve also referred to this as a remaster plus, as we are adding new features that we think the fans are going to love."

The remaster, handled by Vicarious Visions, will update levels and character designs, and adds a unified save system and menu UI. There will also be time trials in all three games.

As for the look of the game, "while we strive to recreate each level so it looks and feels like the original, we also want to make sure that environments are fun, colorful, and read well in the fast-paced action with the addition of the new technology we are using," Art Lead Dustin King said.

Producer Kara Massie said more information will be forthcoming, but in the meantime, Crash fans should be comfortable knowing that the game is in good hands. "Like you, we are really huge Crash fans, and we feel that we are taking very good care of what we know is precious to you," she said.
