E3 tickets are now on sale for the general public

Early-bird passes cost $149, while general admission will run attendees $249.

The Entertainment Software Association announced that E3 tickets for the general public are now on sale. Consumers interested in attending must register to attend, and purchase an Expo Pass.

According to Polygon, the ESA has only made 15,000 tickets available. One thousand Expo Passes were up for grabs at the early-bird price of $149, but sold out quickly. The standard price is $249.

During last year's E3 the ESA featured E3 Live, a special area for the general public to get a taste of the E3 experience. Opening this year's annual event up to the public provides an opportunity for more consumers to experience the industry's largest trade show. Additionally, the ESA is encouraging streamers such as Twitch and YouTube personalities to register as media to further streamline the registration process.

The ESA announced its intention to open the event up to the general public last week. E3 2017 will run from Tuesday, June 13, through Thursday, June 15.
