Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan will keynote the 2017 D.I.C.E. summit, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciencies (AIAS) announced today. The event is scheduled to take place February 21-23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Kaplan's presentation, titled "Overwatch: How Blizzard Created a Hopeful Vision of the Future," will detail how the studio chose to explore a game set on planet Earth.

Other panels include a mixed reality presentation from Magic Leap's Graeme Devine, a fireside chat about VR featuring Insomniac's Ted Price and Oculus' Jason Rubin, and world-building from Marvel Games' Bill Rosemann. Rubin and Bonnie Ross of 343 had already been previously confirmed as speakers as well. Todd Howard will be inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame.
