Super Mario Run launches Load of Coins event

Earn 1.5 times the usual number if coins for winning a Toad Rally match.

If you like playing Toad Rally in Super Mario Run, you now have a chance to win more coins.

Nintendo has launched its Load of Coins event for the game, which will grant players who use a Rally Ticket and win Toad Rally matches 1.5 times the number of coins they would usually get. Thenumber of coins for losing the match is unaffected, as is the number of toads you win or lose in the competition.

The event runs today through January 26.

      Now we know the Android version isn't coming out before Jan 26.

      Not impossible I guess. SWGOH had different promotion schedules for Android vs iOS, but I bet that's more overhead to manage than just one marketing calendar.

      I don't get it....
      Granted, I haven't spent a ton of time buying buildings etc, but I always seem to have a ton of coins...

      I just hope more levels well be added.

      Pretty weak 'event'. Coins are effectively worthless in game.

      coins are pretty much the easiest things to get. and all they are really used for is your kingdom that no one else but you can see. and honestly, this game was fun for about a week. I had fun beating each level, then going back and trying to get the different colored coins. toad battles were fun for a while too. but after you've done it all, theres not really any reason to go back and continue playing. I deleted it off my phone around the start of the year and pretty much forgot about it .

      I beat all the regular levels, played a few games of toad rally but it's not my cup of tea. So now the app just sits on my phone and I haven't deleted it yet because I love Nintendo. Maybe they'll release some new levels? I hope :(
