Nintendo's Switch livestream will air tomorrow, Thursday, January 12, at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET.
The event will be broadcast on Nintendo's website, YouTube channel, and Twitch channel.
Nintendo's got two full days of Switch reveals planned, beginning with tomorrow night's livestream. The company will reveal details such as the Switch's price, the exact date it will release in March, and offer a glimpse at the lineup of games available at launch.
Bright and early on Friday the 13th, Nintendo will kick off a Treehouse livestream at 6:30 a.m. PT / 9:30 a.m. ET. The Treehouse event will offer an "in-depth look at coming games" likely focused on Switch's launch library.
While Nintendo reps swing around their Treehouse, members of the gaming press will stick to ground level to go hands-on with several Switch launch games. Asif Khan and Steve Watts, Shack's CEO and editor-in-chief, respectively, will be at the event to give their impressions of the games. Look for impressions pieces throughout the day on Friday.

I am excite.
I dunno why I am excite.
I think I am excite because I don't want a DS, but I do want to play Mario/Zelda, but I don't wanna play on a TV. I think I may also be excite because I want to play video games with friends who have the Switch.

After getting my 7yr old daughter to try Mario on my old DS, I realize the controls on the Switch might be just as small. When I tried playing on that DS after I dug it back up, I realized how cramped the controls really are. I get why they made the XL version of the 3DS now. (oh, finally saw one in action - yeah the 3D effect is much nicer than the original system). So, here's hoping the Switch is sized closer to the XL for adult/millennial sized hands vs what the original DS had.

(Pardon the Noob-tendo question but) will this have a library of old NES, SNES, Gamecube and Wii games at its disposal, like how you can buy old games on the WiiU with "virtual console"?
(I've never owner a Nintendo product before, save for the 2 DSes I bought for our girls years ago).
This might be the first Nintendo console I seriously consider buying.
I completely missed out on the NES/SNES back in the day (I had a C64, vastly superior gaming machine IMO for the games I like to play). I did rent an SNES once to play through Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, which I absolutely loved (and still do).
By the time N64 and GameCube came out I was a 100% PC gamer. Never bothered with the Wii/WiiU.

In answer: very likely. Nintendo's maintained its Virtual Console of classic games since the Wii, so I feel confident the VC will be available on Switch as well.
On Wii and Wii U, the Virtual Console included select NES, SNES, and N64 games, as well as games from other consoles such as Genesis and NEO-GEO. Wii U offers some Wii games. There are rumors that GameCube games will be added to the Switch.
So, whether GameCube makes the cut or not, you're 99.9% likely to plunder Nintendo's awesome library of games if you own a Switch. :D
