Ever wish you had a laptop for travel that could duplicate your monster multiple-screen PC at home? Razer has read your thoughts and unveiled a new three-screen laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show that could put many desktops to shame.

Dubbed Project Valerie, the laptop boasts three 17-inch screens, with the two wing screens sliding out from the main screen and locking into place. Each monitor is capable of 4K resolution and are run by an Nvidia GTX 1080 video card, making the setup compatible with VR setups as well. It also boasts full chroma capabilities.

While the laptop is not designed for lugging around at conventions, it is fairly portable for what's included. When closed, the CNC aluminum case is about 1.5 inches thick and weighes less than 12 pounds. Not bad, considering that you also need to find a way to keep the unit running cool, which Razer has done with "a custom-designed fan and dynamic heat exchangers paired with a vapor chamber to maximize heat dissipation."

“Multi-monitor desktop set-ups are becoming more necessary for professionals, creators, and gamers,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “For the first time, we’ve engineered a solution that users can take with them. Project Valerie promises all of the functionality of three screens and none of the hassle.”

No price has been revealed, or a release date for that matter, so the showing was probably for more of a wow factor and what is being accomplished in miniaturizing technology.
