Super Batteries?

Interesting story I dug up over at MSNBC for weekend reading, it looks like someone has finally found a new technology for batteries. "super iron" is what it's called and apparently offers 50% more energy storage among other things. No word on the expense or chances of this stuff ever seeing the light of day though. Sounds awful cool.

I read in an article where this super iron is 1/100 the price of lithium. Watchem jump on this technology with both feet.
