Intel P3 Relaunch Delay
by Maarten Goldstein, Oct 11, 2000 10:16am PDTAccording to ZDNet the 1.13Ghz Pentium3 that was recalled back in August, will not appear back in stores until somewhere in the second quarter of next year. They are doing this since they need their resources for the Pentium4 launch, but are also considering transitioning the CPU to a flip chip package, whereas it uses the cartridge-like SECC2 packaging now.

By the end of next year, the 64-bit Sledgehammer w/ DDR will be arriving from AMD, hehh....
Or buy a P4 with RAMBUS! HAHAHHAAA.... Intel is so pathetic.

they are gonna put themselves out of business if they're not careful
If the P4 doesn't take off (and with their string of failures it probably won't right away) then AMD has a nice opportunity to extend their lead.
I hope this trend continues until AMD is taken seriously in the business market.
Then Intel will be scared as hell.
Thanks!
