Will Ferrell Will Play A Professional eSports Player in Upcoming Movie

Oh please let it have John C. Reilly.

Will Ferrell has been tapped to star in a new Legendary Pictures comedy about professional eSports. The Untitled production will be produced by Mosaic and Gary Sanchez and John Beach, and Patrick Connelly of Gravity Squared are co-producing the film.

Other than the basic premise and Will Ferrell's involvement, nothing is yet known about the movie, not even its title. Since there's no indication of what the plot will be, I used a plot generator to simulate what the movie could be like:

A Crime Thriller Comedy
by Jason Faulkner

Mangled knees have been turning up all over Los Angeles and the inhabitants are scared. Ten murders in ten weeks, all committed with a bolo, and still nobody has a clue who the fug killer is.

Pro Gamer Will Ferrell is a hot and smart hacker with a fondness for gaming. He doesn't know it yet, but he is the only one who can stop the little ugly killer.

When his ex-lover, A Woman, is kidnapped, Pro Gamer Ferrell finds himself thrown into the center of the investigation. His only clue is a sticky computer.

He enlists the help of a sexy IT Support called John C. Reilly.

Can Reilly help Ferrell overcome his crack addiction and find the answers before the cheap killer and his deadly bolo strike again?

I'd watch it. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more on Untitled eSports Film starring Will Ferrell as news breaks.
