The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion joins Xbox One backward compatible list

It may not be a remaster, but at least you can play it again on your current Xbox.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim got the remaster treatment, so Oblivion fans will have to be content with the game now being playable on their Xbox One through backward compatibility.

Microsoft quietly added it to its list official list, but Bethesda and the official Elder Scrools Facebook page was a bit more blatant: "The gates of Oblivion have reopened: The Elder Scrolls IV is now backwards compatible on #Xbox One."

While Skyrim has been highly successful and popular, Oblivion is still held in high regard, with many fans feeling the 2006 classic based in Cyrodil is better than its successor. Either way, you can try it again for yourself and relive the memories.

Also added to the list this week were Astropop, Medal of Honor: Airborne and Trine 2.
