Heroes of the Storm Varian Gameplay and Giveaway

Varian is now available to play in Heroes of the Storm, and in addition to showing off his moves, we have 50 Varian Hero Bundle Codes to give away!

Blizzard Entertainment launched Varian into the Nexusamong other things, making him the first multi-class Hero to be in Heroes of the Storm. Players will be able to use Varian as either a Warrior capable of protecting his allies, or a well-armed Assassin who can mow down nearly any adversary that comes in his way.

While Blizzard released several videos focusing on Varian, we decided to highlight him in a video of our own. The video we published shows Varian being played in a Co-op vs. A.I. match, although we kept it as an all-A.I. match to ensure we don't have to wait an extended period in order to start a match.

In addition to recording some gameplay of Varian, we've also teamed up with Blizzard Entertainment to give away 50 Varian Hero Bundle Codes for Heroes of the Storm players. The giveaway will run from now until November 18, 2016, at 2PM PT / 5PM ET.

What happens if you don't get at least 50 entries?

This hero is so strong. I haven't lost a match yet with him.

What talents are you liking? I was watching chu8 have some success with a bruiser/hybrid build the other day, taking the good parry talents along with Colossus Smash.

          1 - High King's Quest
          4 - Warbringer
          7 - Second Wind
          10 - Twin Blades
          13 - Banner of Stormwind
16 - Depends on enemy team. Juggernaut as default, Mortal Strike against strong healers, Shattering throw against strong shields
          20 - Frenzy

Ah, the full Fury build. That is so much fun to play. That 60 bonus damage from High King's Quest is so good once you fulfill all three requirements.

It's super strong, and the stun from Warbringer alone is likely to get nerfed somehow. It counters so many heroes.

Varian looks good, but every game I've played everyone always goes the DPS twin blade build. I wonder how his other builds fair.

He's tanky enough on his Twin Blade build, while being able to deal a lot of damage. He's a perfect bruiser to mix with a dedicated tank or another bruiser to share damage with. His tank build is lackluster, have only seen the 2-hander build once. Haven't found him to be too strong, though: after the initial opening (which, granted, stuns and deals 50% hp damage to my tanky Chen) he's pretty screwed unless you can't heal/disengage and/or his team follows up.

        His tank build seems terrible

His taunt ult needs to be aoe at level 20.
