The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition patch 1.2 is live for Xbox One

Skyrim Special Edition's latest update smooths performance, alt-tabbing out of the game, and other wrinkles.

Bethesda published a blog to notify players that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition has been patched to version 1.2 on Xbox One, hot on the heels of the update released on PS4 and PC earlier this week.

Full patch notes can be found below. Highlights include bug fixes related to browsing mods and—of the utmost importance for players who feel the need to break the game's suspension of disbelief so they can debate politics on Facebook—the ability to alt-tab in and out of Skyrim Special Edition.

  • General stability and performance improvements
  • Fixed issue related to using alt-tab while playing the game (PC)
  • Fixed issue with water flow not rendering properly
  • Fixed crash related to changing from werewolf back to human form
  • Fixed crash related to reloading after changing Load Order of mods
  • General bug fixing and improvements with browsing Mods
