Electronic Arts have filed a new trademark for what appears to be a new game in its popular Need for Speed series, called Need for Speed Arena.
The trademark was filed on November 7th to the European Union Intellectual Property Office, which shows Electronic Arts as the owner of the trademark. As of this writing, there’s no description associated with the trademark, although it is categorized as a piece of video game software.
EA and Ghost Games worked together to reboot the Need for Speed franchise back in late 2015. The Need for Speed reboot offered some nice visuals that looked quite realistic at the time, but the poorly-acted FMVs and numerous distractions while driving kept it from scoring higher than a 6 in our review. Let’s just hope EA learned from their mistakes and creates a worthwhile driving experience in Need for Speed Arena.
