The NES Classic Edition is releasing in just a few weeks, and today, Nyko has announced some accessories those looking to pick up the console will want to get their hands on.

One of the first products Nyko is bringing to the market is a wireless controller, called the Miniboss. The controller allows users to play on their console up within 30 feet of its receiver and has been designed to complement the visual look and style of the NES Classic Edition.

Those looking to simply extend their controller can purchase the Extend Link, which is a six-foot extension cable that can help triple the amount of slack you have to play. The extension cable is also compatible with some Wii and Wii U wired controllers, making it quite versatile.

“The original NES is a legendary console that so many of us have fond memories of, and we’ve set out to create an accessory that offers what we at Nyko do best - augment the gaming experience with creative design while respecting the charm of the hardware it complements,” said Nyko’s director of sales and marketing Chris Arbogast,. “We envision gamers playing the amazing lineup of NES Classic Edition titles on their massive flatscreens at home, which require a little more distance from the screen than the old tube TVs. The Miniboss will allow us to play from the comfort of our couch without having to pull the console out to our coffee table.”

The Miniboss and Extend Link are now available for pre-order at Nyko.com and GameStop.com and will be available later this month on Amazon and GameStop stores for $19.99 and $9.99, respectively.
