Microsoft released a teaser image for the first of two DLC expansions planned for Forza Horizon 3.

Exactly what content the expansion will add has not yet been announced. Judging by the teaser image, icy terrain seems a sure bet. More cars also seem likely.

Although Forza Horizon 3's inaugural expansion pack does not have a firm price or release date, Microsoft has said it will release this year; the second expansion will follow sometime in 2017. A $35 season pass gives you access to both DLCs, or you can buy them individually.

Shacknews senior editor Daniel Perez came away impressed by Forza Horizon 3, released in late September for Xbox One and Windows 10 via Microsoft's Play Anywhere initiative.

"While previous iterations from the Forza Horizon series were used to first introduce and fine tune the open-world mechanic, Forza Horizon 3 feels like the series grand crescendo as all of that work has lead up to the best Forza game I've ever played," he wrote. "I already was a big fan of the Forza series, but Forza Horizon 3 is beyond anything I could have ever imagined for the series and I can’t wait to discover more of its beautiful world."
