Microsoft has announced it will be releasing an update to its Windows 10 operating system in Spring 2017, which it calls Windows 10 Creators Update.

The three pillars Microsoft will be focusing on for its Creators Update are to expand its vision for mixed reality, to help gamers experience 4K gaming and in-game broadcasting, and offer a faster way for its users to connect and share with the people that matter most to them.

One of the first applications the company announced it would be launching with its Creators Update is a new version of Microsoft Paint, called Paint 3D. Users will be able to use the program to create a 3D image right from their desktop, which can be a combination of real-world images and in-app ones. Additional applications are expected to receive some 3D-related updates, such as Microsoft’s PowerPoint.
