Battlefield's companion app Battlelog will get a hefty update to accompany the launch of Battlefield 1.

Touch Arcade reports that after the update hits, it will be redubbed "Battlefield Companion" and come with a set of new features to support Battlefield 1. The navigation is going to be entirely overhauled, and a new "Career" section will serve as the hub for your profile, achievements, and stats. You'll also be able to customize your B1 character's loadouts through the app just like Battlefield 4's version of the app, which will mean less fiddling with menus when you get home to play the real game.

The Battlelog launched in 2011, as a companion to Battlefield 3 and heavily inspired by social networks like Facebook, along with gaming companions like Halo Waypoint. It expanded into a mobile app alongside Battlefield 4.
