Dishonored 2 video shows off creative ways to get rid of people

Killing has never been so fun and entertaining.

One of the many great things about the Dishonored series is that it isn't on rails. You can move, avoid, or even kill however you choose. In the original, there were plenty of creative ways to go through in high chaos and eliminate the opposition. It appears Dishonored 2 has expanded on that with Emily Kaldwin's new abilities.

A new gameplay trailer shows off Emily's creative kills, from reversing polarity on a wall of light, chaining together enemies with the Domino power and pulling them through, to my personal favorite: Creating a doppleganger of herself, using Domino on three enemies and her image, and then throwing the doppleganger off a cliff. Corvo even shows off his mastery in new ways to murder, maim and mutilate. Definitely not honorable.

Dishonored 2 plans to be just as bloody in high chaos as the original, but you will be able to use your wits in stealth mode as well to keep things calm as you accomplish tasks right under their noses. So many unique powers and so many ways to use them when the game is released on November 11 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

This looks like its going to be pretty fantastic. I'm trying really hard not to break my "don't buy anything new until you've cleared out some of the backlog" rule, but this might be a wee/day 1 purchase for me. The first game scratched all the right itches for me, and this looks like a good evolution of the original.

I'm done with the concept of a backlog. If a game's good, it grabs me instantly and I don't even have to rationalize playing it, I just do. Case in point recently, Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

Agree. My gaming time is so limited these days I don't see the need to play a game simply out of obligation or guilt. Just go to what calls you at any particular moment. Go to her.
