WarCraft the movie will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 27, and the physical releases will pack in a bunch of digital extras, not the least of which includes World of WarCraft and its first five expansion packs.

Select Blu-Ray and DVD editions will include WoW plus every expansion up to and including Warlords of Draenor, released in 2014 (via GameSpot). New players will receive 30 days of free time before subscriptions kick in.

Two in-game heroes for other Blizzard games are included as well: Medivha, a mage, for Hearthstone; and Gul'dan for Heroes of the Storm.

A motion comic, documentary on the making of the film, deleted scenes and various featurettes (some exploring the fans' relationship with the IP) round out WarCraft's offerings.

Nice, I hope some European retailers will get that deal.

Any playtime included? I would probably have gotten every expansion if they had included a month of gametime. But instead I'm just tempted but it's too much work to re-activate an account (compared to just buying something on impulse).

It comes with a month of playtime. They're basically just giving out retail keys (which now cover everything through Warlords of Draenor). They did the same thing when you saw the movie in theaters.

Maybe I'll pick it up. Are blu-rays region free?

Isn't that the cheapest way to get all of those expansions now? I don't know why Blizzard doesn't just make the latest expansion give you all the other content. $$$$ I guess, but it sure makes it more complicated too.

yes, if you buy the game, you get everything but the latest xpac, legion. then just have to buy legion to have everything. If you have an old account, same thing.

Oh I see, that's good then, way less painful than it used to be.

Not a bad deal if you've been out of it for a long while like me.
