Mode 7 and SMAC Games has announced Tokyo 42 will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in early 2017 and is planned to release simultaneously across all platforms.

Tokyo 42 is described as a “super stylish spinny-camera-isometric ultracolourful cyberpunk open-worldy assassin-fest.” The game is inspired by such classics like Syndicate and the original Grand Theft Auto as players will view the world from an isometric perspective, although the camera can be rotated to reveal more of the world.

In Tokyo 42, the player will take the role of a new freelance assassin who takes on missions to help pay your way into becoming further embroiled in additional cyber-shenanigans.

In addition to its single-player campaign, Tokyo 42 will feature a multiplayer mode that resembles a game of Where’s Waldo as players can change their skin to blend in with crowds, then take out their target with a flurry of rockets.
