Nvidia has announced Vault 1080, a Fallout 4 mod featuring a vault environment "equal in size to the other vaults spread across the commonwealth" as well as an exclusive quest line to follow (via Eurogamer).

Vault 1080 is being built to showcase high-quality effects such as advance lighting techniques. "Vault 1080 is an official NVIDIA mod, and as such packs a serious technological punch," according to Nvidia developer Steve Williams. "Volumetric lighting features extensively – in ways not seen in the standard game – while shadows are more realistic and velvety than ever. This is thanks to HBAO+ and its control of ambient occlusion, which creates authentic depths anywhere a light source is blocked, no matter how small or fleeting."

Nvidia and Bethesda are teaming up to release the mod for PC on September 2nd, this coming Friday. You'll be able to grab it from Bethesda.net.
