Hand of Fate 2 welcomes Colbjorn to its roster of companions

Colbjorn is a companion you're going to want to bring with you to battle as he's certainly a force to be reckoned with, both in combat and during tabletop minigames.

Defiant Development announced Hand of Fate 2 earlier this year for Q1 2017 release and will feature a number of improvements over the original, which includes new enemies, new weapons, and support from companions. Today, the studio has announced one of the game’s companions, Colbjorn.

Colbjorn is all about brute strength as he fights with heavy, club-like short swords, which are capable of knocking enemies back for easy kills. He’s not only a talented fighter, but his talents extend beyond the battlefield as he allows adventurers the use of an extra die to roll during tabletop minigames.

"Colbjorn's brute strength is an invaluable asset to anyone's journey and he's an intriguing ally to discover," said Morgan Jaffit, director at Defiant Development. "Companions add another layer of depth to Hand of Fate 2, pairing with new cards, enemy suits and a host of other features to make this journey equal parts unpredictable and riveting."

The original Hand of Fate received over 2.2 million downloads across all platforms the game was available on, and with Hand of Fate 2, Defiant Development hopes to fine tune its addictive formula, which combines tabletop gaming with third-person combat in a Dungeons and Dragons-style game.

Hand of Fate 2 is currently slated for a Q1 2017 release on PC and Xbox One. For those attending PAX West, Colbjorn will be playable at Defiant Development’s booth located at booth 6310.
