The reason is a 'terms of service' violation, with speculation centering on his gambling streams.

Twitch has pulled on the ban hammer on popular Counter-Strike: GO streamer PhantomL0rd for the ever nebulous "terms of service" violation. And while the company is mum on the reasoning, it could have something to do with gambling.

Twitch announced last week that it would be monitoring streamers and cracking down on activities that violatie its terms of service, specifically mentioning gambling sites using Valve's OpenID API. Now comes the ban on PhantomL0rd, who had several videos showing him using gambling sites, including one called CSGOWild, which has had its share of controversy. Popular YouTubers Trevor Martin and Sam Cassell have been in hot water recently with their own links to gambling site CSGOLotto.

In a recent YouTube video, he had mentioned that his stream was "changed forever," without giving specifics. While the video has him playing League of Legends, the CSGOWild site is still prominently displayed.

PhantomL0rd has not commented since the ban, and bans are not necessarily permanent, so he can come back fater a certain amount of time if cleared by Twitch.
