If you weren’t able to partake in the alpha demo for Nioh, which ran from April 26 to May 5, you’ll soon have another chance to try out Koei Tecmo’s upcoming action game as the company has announced a second downloadable demo will be released next month.

The beta demo for Nioh will be available to download and play via the PlayStation Store starting on August 23 and until September 6. After September 6, the ability to download and play the beta demo will be disabled.

The upcoming beta demo will offer a new dojo stage will allow players to take part in an intense training session which introduces the basic gameplay mechanics of Nioh. Players will also be able to explore a stage that hasn’t been announced yet as well as wield a selection of new katana, spears, axes, and hammers.

The alpha demo for Nioh was quite successful for both Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja as over 850,000 players took part in the challenge. Team Ninja collected some valuable feedback based on the alpha beta, and is currently working on improving the game based on that feedback.

Be sure to mark your calendars for August 23 as you’ll just have two weeks to enjoy the Nioh’s beta alpha. Then after that, you’re probably going to have to buy the game if you want more.
