Star Wars: The Old Republic's Director of Design, James Ohlen, took center stage today at Star Wars™ “Meet the Makers” panel at Star Wars Celebration in London to give gamers a sneak peek into the future of the game. After confirming that over 87 million characters have been created in SWTOR, he went on to reveal that the game's latest expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, will be released in Fall of 2016. If that wasn't enough great news for gamers, BioWare also announced that beginning today, all players can prepare for the new expansion by playing Chapter 1 of the prequel story in Knights of the Fallen Empire, now for free.

Bioware also put together a trailer in celebration of the 5 year anniversary of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
