Sony gets FCC certificate for wireless adapter

Analyzing the code gives rise to a PC dongle for a DualShock 4 controller.

An new filing with the FCC by Sony suggests that the console make has some sort of wireless adapter planned for the PlayStation 4.

The certification (via DualShockers) has led to a variety of speculation based on the product code CUH-ZWA1U. Apparently CUH signifies PlayStation 4, while the Z usually references controllers. A likely possibility is a dongle for the DualShock 4 that allows it to be used wirelessly on PCs. There are plenty of other scenarios, ranging from Bluetooth headsets to Sony's own proprietary headsets.

Since the information will be confidential until 2017, we'll have to wait and see what Sony has in mind. It is fun to speculate, though.

I thought the PS4 controller was Bluetooth, can't it work with a PC natively? I haven't tried it or looked it up, so I have no clue if this is possible.

Sort of? You can plug it in with a USB cable, or you can connect via Bluetooth if your PC has it. I think you have to use http://ds4windows.com/ or something similar to get the most out of it. I've been using it for MGSV and it's still a little wonky.

some games will work native, at least in win10, assasscred syndicate for example. (also has native button prompts)

I think W3 might.. but the prompts are sort of broken (sometimes its PS4 sometimes Xbone)

Otherwise just hit your shortcut for ds4windows and your good. (unless your doing BT then you gotta sync that)

i played something else recently with native DS4 support/prompts but cant remember what it was.

DS3 may have it.. I wanna say a lot of newer games do.

          (just googled some more)
          Batman AK
          Farcry 4
          Rocket League
I think MGSV also has native support.
