Summer Games Done Quick 2016 continues. Day 4 features a healthy dose of Sonic, some great first person shooters, and a lot of awesome games thrown in there. We applaud the folks at SGDQ for raising awareness and funds for Doctors Without Borders and encourage our community to help out anyway they can by sharing the streams on social media, tuning in to support the runners, or donating to this fine charity.

Who is Doctors Without Borders?

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) is an international medical humanitarian organization providing aid in nearly 70 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, exclusion from health care, natural disasters, or malnutrition.

MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocol. In 1999, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its work.

Asif Khan

CEO/EIC/EIEIO

Asif Khan is the CEO, EIC, and majority shareholder of Shacknews. He began his career in video game journalism as a freelancer in 2001 for Tendobox.com. Asif is a CPA and was formerly an investment adviser representative. After much success in his own personal investments, he retired from his day job in financial services and is currently focused on new private investments. His favorite PC game of all time is Duke Nukem 3D, and he is an unapologetic fan of most things Nintendo. Asif first frequented the Shack when it was sCary's Shugashack to find all things Quake. When he is not immersed in investments or gaming he is a purveyor of fine electronic music. Asif also has an irrational love of Cleveland sports.

      I've got the stream on in the background, and since I'm already watching, updating this thread doesn't take much effort. I wrote up some templates for Now / Next / Then and the info that I post at the beginnings of the thread. So it is mostly a few copy and pastes per post every 30 minutes or so.
      
      I'm hopefully keeping SGDQ it the minds of the people reading the chatty, and hopefully Doctors Without Borders get a few more donations because of that!

    While not quite as impressive as blindfolded, Halfcoordinated has limited use of one hand, and so has learned to speed run one handed!     What games is this person familiar with? Showing them a run of something they are a bit familiar with will generally impress them.
    
    I'm familiar with Dishonored, I took a few weeks playing through it. Dr TChops plays through it in a bit over 35 minutes. The then DLC is completed just as quickly. This is a bit of a glitch fest, with the player going out of bounds several times, still it is an impressive run.

        yeah, anything. I know there are some damn impressive Half Life 2 runs, and Portal is always a joy to watch. More along those lines I guess. But those ones you posted are excellent too.

    Always pick a game the person knows and likes. For most people you can pick one of the Tetris runs from the last two GDQs, most people know Tetris and those are extremely impressive to watch.
