If you have been holding off getting some games for your Xbox console, you may want to get your wallet ready. Microsoft is rolling out its summer sale.

Beginning July 5, the Ultimate Game Sale will kick in for more than 250 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. The average discount will run between 40 and 60 percent, with some games being discounted even more. Xbox Gold members will get an additional 10 percent off on top of the sale price. Even the Xbox One is on sale for $279.

The full list of games and prices hasn't been released yet, but some of the Xbox One games are ARK: Survival Evolved, DOOM, Dark Souls lll, and Quantum Break, as well as Xbox One Backward Compatibility games such as The Witcher 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Counter-Strike: GO, and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

There will also be some Windows 10 PC games on sale, too, including Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

The sale will run through July 11. Major Nelson is expected to release the full list of games on sale on July 3.
