Harmonix released in June update today for Rock Band 4, just in time for the developer to announce its first expansion for the game, Rock Band Rivals.

The aren't many details other than the title and the $30 price at the moment, but Harmonix claims that the new features will be all new to the franchise, and will add "really big, new modes to the game, and players of all difficulties and play styles will be able to enjoy what we’re cooking up for you."

That said, Harmonix loves its peripherals, especially since PDP co-publishers with them. They unveiled today a new  ultra-marine blue Fender Jaguar Guitar controller, and it is the first foldable accessory in the franchise's history so you can store it in smaller spaces.

Also announced is a charger for the new Fender ($29.99), and a Xbox One legacy adapter ($29.99) for Rock Band 3 Midi PRO-Adapter for Xbox 360,  ION Drum Rocker for Xbox 360 and other wired Rock Band peripherals. These will be available for purchase separately.

PDP and Harmonix will offer a Wireless Jaguar Bundle that will include Rock Band 4, the Rivals expansion, and a Fender Jaguar guitar controller for $89.99. The Rock Band Rivals Band Kit will include Rock Band 4, Rivals, a Fender Jaguar controller, a Rock Band 4 drum kit, and a microphone for $199.99. All hardware bundles will be available for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
