Get Ready To Watch Some Dogs With Watch Dogs 2 Unveiling This Week

Who let the dogs out? Ubisoft. That's who, Baha Men.

Did you enjoy traipsing about the city in Ubisoft's Watch Dogs scanning other people and getting information on their most private secrets? Or did you play WATCH_DOGS? It was a different game, you know. Just kidding. I don't stylize game titles unless they're worth stylizing, and that underscore is silly. At any rate, if you did enjoy all that, Watch Dogs 2 is coming soon, and Ubisoft will officially announce it this Wednesday, June 8 at 9 a.m. PT.

There's also a teaser trailer to go with it, but there's not a whole lot going on in it. If you want to see 30 seconds of someone covertly operating a smartphone then have at it. It'll most likely be making a larger appearance at E3 in the coming weeks, with a projected April 2017 launch.

Okay! Get to watching those dogs. Two.

Pretty much to a T. I like a lot of Ubi games, but this game was basically UbiSoft Formula: The Game. Really stripped down, bare bones, uninspired in every way. A sequel could be cool I guess if they flesh out some of what (tiny bits) made it unique, but I'm not exactly chomping at the bit for this one.

Watch dogs was the epitome of an average game to me.

Game mechanics were hit or miss, the story was a total shitshow. But the multiplayer and some of the side-mission stuff was good All in all, a painfully mediocre game.

Best open world game for me since GTA Vice City, but many people were disappointed. Main story was ok, but the main strength of the game for me was the city, people living in it, each with different, random, little backstory, and fun side missions and mini games, both offline and online. Something clicked for me in this game that didn't for most people apparently. And the Bad Blood DLC is super good too.

The only shitty thing in the game was car music.

GTA + Ubisoft open world + one of the least likable protagonists in recent memory.
