Initially available only in the forthcoming collector's edition of Rocket League, the two cars will eventually be released as premium DLC.

Rocket League is Psyonix's most popular title. It emerged as a sleeper hit last summer when it hit Sony's PS Plus program as a free title before growing into a genuine success that has grossed over $70 million across multiple platforms.

But Psyonix only perfected its cars-meets-soccer gameplay mashup, rather than introduced it. That epiphany came in the form of Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars, published in 2008 for PS3.

As a treat for fans and a nod to its past, Psyonix announced via its blog that two SARPBC vehicles will be included in the upcoming Rocket League Collector's Edition bundle.

"Available first as a timed exclusive in the Rocket League Collector’s Edition retail release, the jet-inspired Aftershock and monstrous Marauder will retain their original thematic style but also sport a new, more modern visual look. Both vehicles will also come with six gorgeous Decals immediately unlocked."

Once the clock runs out on the package's timed exclusivity, Aftershock and Marauder will be put up as premium DLC for all Rocket League owners.
