Capcom has announced everyone’s favorite kunoichi, Ibuki, will soon be making her triumphant return in Street Fighter 5.
Ibuki first appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation, although she returned to the ring in Super Street Fighter IV. She has always been a very mobile character with several target combos, but she is even deadlier in Street Fighter 5 now that she’s able to glide through the air and toss out ninja bombs, which makes it difficult to predict where she’ll land.
Kunais will continue playing an integral role in her playstyle, although now players will need to be more strategic with them as she can only carry five before she needs to obtain another set. In Street Fighter 5, she’s able to throw her entire stock of kunais at her opponent.
Ibuki’s V-Trigger is the Isshaku Horokudama. When her V-Trigger is triggered, Ibuki retrieves several bombs from a bag to throw them at her opponent. The player can dictate just how quickly the bombs can go off by holding the controller in a specific direction. When she connects, she’s able to launch the opponent into the air and attack them by using a series of ninjitsu seals.
Ibuki will be available, as well as a new Story Mode expansion and more content, in June.
