Codemasters has announced a new official videogame of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship, F1 2016, will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this Summer.

F1 2016 promises to include “the most immersive career mode” Codemasters has ever featured, which will span 10 seasons and take players deep into the prestigious motorsport, both on and off the track. Players will be able to select an avatar, number, helmet, and team that will represent you within the game world, although you’ll also be able to earn contracts and move from team to team if you like.

The game’s life-like recreation will be enhanced by the addition of its iconic Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car, and a challenging new street circuit in Baku, Azerbaijan. Hospitality areas will also be included for each team that will act as the player’s game hub, where you’ll interact with your Research and Development (R&D) Engineer and Player Agent to develop your racer both on and off the track.

Players will be able to earn R&D credits from all of their sessions, which include practice runs, qualifying races, and more, and then spend them on upgrading your car.

F1 2016 is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this Summer.
