Loot Crate has expanded steadily since its inception in 2012. A recent job posting for a Loot Crate game producer confirms that the company is looking beyond shipping out boxes chockful of gaming collectibles to creating games in cutting-edge spaces such as augmented and virtual reality.

When hired, the game producer will be "responsible for the success of Loot Crate interactive products by building and running a well-honed development team, communicating the vision, and ensuring that the product launches within the constraints of time and budget."

Loot Crate will go beyond developing video games: the company wants to create interactive experiences of all kinds, such as interactions with AR and VR hardware.

The company has done an excellent job expanding its outreach. This year, for instance, Loot Crate is offering 20 subscribers of its Loot Gaming package consumers passes into next month's E3 show.
